Hollywoodland Specific Plan
The northern area of Beachwood Canyon is called Hollywoodland. The boundaries of Hollywoodland were set when this little area was developed in the early 1900’s. When you drive north on Beachwood and enter between those historic pillars, you are in Hollywoodland. Many years ago, in an effort to retain and preserve the unique character of this area, a Specific Plan was created. There are guidelines that are intended to watch over new development and renovations of homes and property within this area called Hollywoodland.
DESIGN REVIEW BOARD
Twice a month, the Design Review Board meets to review any renovations or construction plans that have been submitted to the City. A planning deputy from the City assigned to the Specific Plan area attends these meetings. They meet on the second and forth Thursday of each month (if there are plans to be reviewed). The meeting location is at the Hollywoodland Realty Office. They start promptly at 6 p.m.
