
Robert Silverstein, the valiant attorney who worked with Beachwooders to battle over-development in the heart of Hollywood, has died.
BCNA worked most closely with Silverstein on the campaign to stop the Millennium Project from erecting two enormous skyscrapers on Vine St. above Hollywood Blvd. The Millennium Towers would have dwarfed the Capitol Records building and dominated the Hollywood skyline.
Silverstein’s suit, supported in part by BCNA fundraisers, brought the project to a complete halt. Beachwood residents will long be grateful for his brilliance and persistence.
