You can still fly domestically without a REAL ID. Travelers may use a passport or other TSA-approved identification instead. If no acceptable ID is available, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) may allow travel after an identity verification process.

Beginning February 1, 2026, this verification option will require a $45 non-refundable fee and may involve additional screening and delays. Children under 18 do not need ID when traveling with an adult.
