Subject: Approved Hollywood Sign Filming
We are writing to inform you that a film permit has been approved allowing Park Place Productions to conduct limited filming activity in the area surrounding the Hollywood Sign. All filming and interdepartmental coordination are being managed by FilmLA and the Mayor’s Liaison to the Film and Television Industry.
Filming Dates*:
Friday, February 6 through Sunday, February 8
*The production company has expressed a strong commitment to ending filming activities as soon as they capture the needed footage. Filming may not extend through the weekend.
Filming Activities:
Filming will take place from a helicopter capturing aerial footage of the Hollywood Sign. In support of this activity, a small crew will be positioned within Lake Hollywood Park to illuminate the Hollywood Sign from a considerable distance.
